I encounter many different kinds of people everyday at work. You get the grumpy and negative people, the nosey and opinionated people, but you do meet some very positive and uplifting people.
I met this couple in their late 80’s. They came to look for an apartment for a short term lease because their condo they own had a fire and needs months to rebuilt. The woman was so kind and told me everyone was praying for them, so it would be okay. She said it so confidently it was refreshing.
It takes a special kind of person to see the light at the end of tunnel in such a situation. I try to stay humble and know that every day above ground is a great day….yes.. I just quoted Pitbull. But for real folks, there are lots of people out there that have it worse than you do.
