The embroidered trend is still killing it.
I found this beautiful funky sweater at TJ Maxx. It was on sale for $28.00, and had only one issue… it was size 1XL. My friend suggested I try it on anyway, so I threw it on in the aisle over my blazer/tank combo and thought it was so cute. Do sizes reallllly matter though? I usually look at sizing at normal retail stores, but I can tell you when it comes to vintage shopping, I NEVER look. And it’s funny when people ask what number size I am… I have NO idea.
Are you weird on sizing too?
Riva.
I splurged on these timeless sunglasses, what do you think??

9 Mar 2018So Cute! I am in agreement, If I see something I will just try it regardless of what the tag says. If it looks like something I can squeeze into or wear loose I’ll go for it. So many people get stuck on certain numbers, but I just wear whatever works. It’s not like people can read the inside of your tags while it’s on your body. 🙂 – Stephanie | http://www.theborrowedbabes.com

9 Mar 2018Size does not matter- fit is what matters! As long as something looks good on, it doesn’t really matter what the tag says!!

10 Mar 2018Honestly, I think everyone has weird sizing. Introduce me to one person who wears the same size of clothing no matter where they go. I bet you couldn’t. Sizing is exclusive a number or guide to finding how that particular article of clothing will sit on your body. And oftentimes people play wihtin those sizes. I tend to be a M in t-shirts but I like them to fit loosely so I’ll go up to a large just to get the look I like. So often we get caught up in size and it’s just not necessary. Unless you’re plus size and then yes be caught up in it and speak up for getting clothes made in sizes that fit you. But that is a while other rant.
tl;dr Size only really matters when it doesn’t come in one made to fit your body.

11 Mar 2018Such a cool look! Sometimes I buy items in larger sizes because I want to use it for a different purpose like you did here. It’s very creative and you got a bargain out of it too 🙂

12 Mar 2018Cute! And same, I look at sizing when I pick items up but my sizes range from a small to a large depending on where I shop and what I buy… it’s so frustrating! And my husband can do into any store, grab his size, and it fits every single time.

14 Mar 2018This sweater is so perfect on you!! I don’t think size matters at all, I try everything on and if it looks good that’s all that matters. I also really love oversized sweaters, blazers, and cardigans so I love when it looks a little bit longer or larger 🙂 xo Jana | http://www.janastyleblog.com | @jana_meister
