Spring up your Wardrobe with the Goodwill Sale at Boston Store

It’s my favorite time of the year! Kind of kidding but kind of not! The semiannual Boston Store Goodwill® sale is officially on until March 24th and, luckily for you, I teamed up with Goodwill® Industries International to showcase their spring sale at Boston Store and the Bon-Ton family stores by showing you my purchases and sharing my shopping experience!

So, first things first,- I cleaned out my closet. Now, you all know by now I am a major hoarder so this can be difficult sometimes. I have really been trying to slim down my wardrobe and purge items I don’t wear anymore. Thinking about how just one bag of clothes donated can create an hour of on-the-job training for someone who needs help finding a job definitely helps motivate me!

Getting discount coupons to shop at Bon-Ton stores is super easy. All you do is bring in a donation for Goodwill to your local Bon-Ton store (mine is Boston Store). Now, you all know that I am a huge thrift store shopper, so donating items to my local Goodwill is sometimes a bi-weekly task. The fact that I can take the items to Boston Store and get a bid discount is even better! For each item you donate, you receive three coupons, and each coupon is good for up to an extra 30% off a clothing, footwear, handbag or accessory item. Don’t worry, if you don’t have any items to donate at this time, you can donate just $1 and receive three coupons to use in-store or online. What I find SO AMAZING, is this sale has been going on since 1994 and has raised an estimated $184 million to help provide job placement and training services at local Goodwill organizations around the country. Seriously, just let that sink it a bit… WOW!

As a shopping veteran, I know some things. When you’re shopping around, you will notice that a lot of items are marked down. So you can buy some items for almost 50% off and stock up!

One of my favorite things about this sale is the opportunity to get your favorite name brand cosmetics at a discount. I mean, when does that ever happen!? With make up artists at every counter, it’s the perfect opportunity to try new products and receive 15% off select brands of makeup and perfume.

I learned about some great products and got a fresh face at the Bobbi Brown counter. Shout out to Mandy for being so sweet and fun!

You may have seen my previous post about this sale, when I discovered William Rast denim. The brand was founded by Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala. If wearing denim from my childhood crush doesn’t make me feel good, I don’t know what does! But seriously, these jeans are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn!

The gingham trend hasn’t really left since last summer, but luckily it’s still in for this upcoming season! I loved the ruffle detail on this, and of course the bow on the back sealed the deal for me. Orange is not typically my color, but the mix with the cream helps a pale girl like me get some color in my outfit!

If you are like me and you’re ready for Spring, get to your local Bon-Ton store to get some great warm weather essentials! By donating you directly impact your own local community while refreshing your closet.

Last year, Bon-Ton customers donated 2.9 million pounds of clothing and household items, which helped provide 425,000 hours of job placement and training services at local Goodwill organizations. So even if you only have a few items, get them over there today!

Riva.

This is a great post! I often forget about looking around there to shop, thanks for reminding me! It’s so great for kid clothes too as they seem to be outgrowing clothes every few months and need new ones!!
