I wrote a blog post all about the custom process that you can find here. I’d love to share the delivery and finishing touches. Honestly, the delivery process was a breeze. I received a text message the day before the delivery confirming my address and then was provided a window of timing. I was also able to check the delivery on the Colder’s Furniture website. It showed me all the pieces in the delivery and included the delivery men’s names and photos. The day of the delivery, they were here prompt down to the MINUTE. They surveyed the space and then started unloading. Now, I warned you all; the loft space is not easy to get into. Our 1911 farmhouse wasn’t made for most 2020 furniture, but because the England Furniture pieces are all separate, we were able to make it work (says the woman who didn’t move anything). The delivery men set everything up, removed all packaging, and placed the pieces up perfectly.
All in the Details
Now, let’s talk about the space! The custom England Furniture couch is the star of the room! I could not be happier with the upholstery choice and configuration of the sectional. The fabric, the comfort, it really hits all the checkmarks I was looking for and more. The “Theron Indigo’ upholstery choice was a perfect one for the all gray room.
I chose this light and slightly patterned rug from Colder’s to go with the cozy sectional. The rug looks very luxe in person and is comfy under the toes. When looking for rugs, I can tell you the options at Colder’s Furniture are endless! No matter what color, design, or shape you are looking for, they have it! The Colder’s website has over 1,500 rugs and offers free shipping through Colder’s Direct.
What’s a comfy space without a large abundance of pillows and blankets?! The two gray and white upholstery pillows were custom made to go with the couch. I knew ‘dove’ fabric choice would look great with the navy. I also chose to bring in a pop of pink, because I knew it would look delicate, yet girly with the denim couch.
I chose to leave the walls and accessories simple with just a few of my favorite pieces. I have always been fond of candles, coffee table books, and plants. Any bets on how long I can keep them alive?
Setting the Mood
My vision for the loft space was to be a cozy lazy Sunday space. Now, what would that be without a TV to binge my favorite Netflix shows on?! (Currently re-watching The Office for the Third time). When partnering with Colder’s Furniture, I had the pleasure of also working with Flanner’s Home Entertainment. With over 120 years of experience, boy, do they know how to find the perfect TV for your space. Conveniently located in the West Allis and Grafton Colder’s Furniture stores, Flanner’s will really compliment your furniture choices by completing the entertainment aspect, whether that is a new TV, sound system, or DVD player. Mounted on the wall, the Samsung 42-inch television fits perfectly in our loft space!
Now that the space is complete, I cannot wait to enjoy it! I’m looking forward to hosting a ladies’ wine night and lazy Sunday lounging!
After removing the carpet and then three, yes three, layers of flooring, we added the beautiful luxury vinyl plank flooring. This space used to be a 2nd floor kitchen when our home was a two family. .
