How we are Navigating Allergies and Creating a Cleaner Home

If you’re a parent, you know you would do anything to make your child comfortable and happy. When we found out about Magnus’ egg allergy via a traumatic visit to the emergency room, we took the next steps to make sure we were doing everything in our power to make sure he was comfortable. We eliminated eggs from the foods he was trying, but he was still having reactions in the form of hives, and we knew there was plenty to learn about what was upsetting his body. I was referred to an Allergist that, naturally, couldn’t get him in for three months. After breaking out in hives about once a week a few weeks following the egg reaction, I was relentless with requesting an appointment as soon as they had availability.

One lucky day I got the answer I wanted, they had a cancellation and they had an appointment in an hour. We went and I was adamant I wanted to get answers and not to waste any time. We went straight to a blood draw. When the results came, we were shocked to find out the top allergy was dog dander.

Naturally, the first thing to go through my mind is shock and sadness. My poor little guy has been exposed his whole life to one massive dander ball, aka, Helga, our 100lb Doberman dog. As we discussed the allergy and next steps we were given some homework by the Allergist. A few of the initial suggestions were to vacuum every day, remove carpets, add HEPA filters to our HVAC unit, and invest in a good quality air purifier.

I was introduced to a local company providing air purifications services for over 35 years, Air Impurities Removal Systems. They have worked with companies like Tesla, NASA, Kohler, Ford, just to name a few! The Extract-All AMB1 is their first residential air purifier available to the public and I am super excited for the opportunity to share my experience with all of you!

The Extract-All AMB1 effectively cleans and purifies the air you breathe. The air purifier is a great addition for anyone with an allergy, but also for anyone looking to simply improve the air quality of the environment they live or work in. With the large amount of toxins in our homes, and also outside, it is great to have the Extract-All work hard to help minimize them. The Extract-All AMB1 has a 7-stage purification which includes the following:

  • Aluminum Filter
  • Cold Catalyst Filter
  • Antibacterial Filter
  • Honeycomb Activated Carbon Filter
  • High-Efficiency HEPA Filter
  • Ultraviolet Sterilization Light
  • Anion Purification

Within 30 minutes, the Extract-All AMB1 will completely replace the air by removing chemicals, mold, smoke, dust, pollen, germs, and of course important for our home, dander! The air purifier even has a built in humidifier and automatically dims when the lights are turned off.

So, let’s talk about what the air purifier looks like… The Extract-All AMB1 is compact, yet very sturdy, and is modern. The touch screen control panel on the top is easy to read, and one of my favorite features is the child lock since my little man loves to press all the buttons. The remote control is also super helpful as well!

When I tell you this air purifier is so great,… it’s SO great. It kicks into high gear when I use hairspray, I’m sweeping, and when I’m cooking. A few days ago I wasn’t feeling well, I sat near the Extract-All AMB1 and it literally began filtering the air immediately. It senses impurities in the air and gets to work!

After just a few weeks of the Extract-All AMB1 running in our house, I can tell the air is cleaner. How you may ask? I am not clearing my throat a thousand times in the morning and my personal seasonal allergies are not as miserable. Magnus hasn’t been waking up with pink cheeks and seems to be in a way better mood.

I can’t wait to keep you all updated on my journey to a cleaner and safer home! If you are in the marketing for a new air purifier, please use code RIVA100 for $100 purchase on the Air Impurities Removal Systems website!
