I’m Pregnant with Baby No. 2

I have some super exciting news, I’m pregnant with my second baby! It’s wild to think I will have a second when I truly can’t even believe I am a mom. I mean, I am only 24 years old, ha. Nope, in all seriousness, this pregnancy is a GERIATRIC one as I will be 35 in July. Pretty insane term to throw on us old ladies, right?!

It was even harder this time around to keep the secret! While I was pregnant with Magnus, I was working from home, the world was still kind of shut down and I truly could get away without leaving the house for weeks. This time around, I had to hide it from coworkers and man, did I start to show quickly this time around! I was out of jeans by ten weeks!

I’m thrilled Magnus will have a sibling, and it’s wild I will have two babies under three years old. If you have any words of encouragement, send them my way!

Something about a leather look is so chic. I have been looking for a pair of good faux leather pants for, I kid you not, years now. I was shopping at Abercrombie and thought, heck, let’s make this pair of leather pants be the one hundredth pair I try on that don’t work and was shocked… They fit, they were comfortable, and reasonable affordable! I would say it was a win-win-win! Shop the pants here.

If there is one thing we have learned over the last few years, it’s to value and support our local businesses! Rather than purchasing an unneeded item, I urge you to consider purchasing from a small family business to help support the community you live in and to have heirloom pieces that will last generations! When it comes to maternity and postpartum clothing and accessories, it can often feel like a guessing game when ordering online. Hell, sometimes it’s hard to even when in-store when there is no one to help guide you. Will the items fit me, do I need them, how do they fit? These are all common questions and it can be frustrating not to have the answers. Luckily, I found a local retail store for all of my mom needs, Close to the Heart Boutique in Thiensville, Wisconsin!

The Importance of a Good Night’s Sleep!

One of the first things to go when I found out I was pregnant was a good quality night’s sleep. On top of the hormones and anxiety, my old mattress was the icing on the cake for lack of much-needed rest. Honestly, throughout my pregnancy, sleep has been hit or miss, which is frustrating when you aren’t feeling well to begin with.

Plot twist! I’m thrilled to officially announce Michael and I will be welcoming a new addition to the Treasure family this summer. We have been keeping a secret for months, which has felt like years! I found out back in December, two weeks before Christmas, and it was the best present I could have asked for.
