As most of you know, my husband and I have been slowly renovating our home. We began with the kitchen and have decided to stick to the first floor and then work our way up to the second floor. If there is one thing I am thankful for in our home, it is a second bathroom! You don’t know how much you’ll appreciate a guest bathroom until you have one. It’s great for guests and the overall function of your home.

When Michael and I purchased our home, we knew it needed a lot of work and that decorating would take a backseat for a while. As we slowly completed projects like refurbishing the original hardwood floors, completely renovating the kitchen, and preparing the dining space for get-togethers, we are finally taking the home projects to our second level.

A worldwide pandemic. Something I never thought I would experience during my lifetime. As things escalated, my employer made the decision to have everyone work remotely. I’m going to be honest, working from home the last couple months has been great. I have been able to manage my time so I could care for my new puppy, make more meals at home, and actually dedicate more time to helping the small businesses I represent.

Well, 2020 started off great for me. I traveled through Europe with my husband, we got a puppy, and we are both healthy. I couldn’t be more grateful for life as it is, but I would be lying if I said everything was sunshine and rainbows.

Whether you like to celebrate Galentine’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or don’t partake in either, take the month of February to share happiness with the individuals you love and cherish. Giving gifts is one of my favorite things in the world. Seeing the look on a friend’s face is what makes the moment so special, and I have to say, there is something to be said for a gift that was hand made. I think both parties involved feel something extra special because of the care and time it took to craft it.
Champagne and charcuterie are two of my favorite things in life.
They pair so well together and I feel so fancy consuming both. So, when the opportunity came to partner with Sendik’s for my annual ladies wine party at my home, I knew this theme would be a blast. Deer Widows Weekend is the opening weekend of hunting here in Wisconsin and to me, it’s the perfect opportunity to have a get together with my girlfriends.
