I’m Pregnant with Baby No. 2

I have some super exciting news, I’m pregnant with my second baby! It’s wild to think I will have a second when I truly can’t even believe I am a mom. I mean, I am only 24 years old, ha. Nope, in all seriousness, this pregnancy is a GERIATRIC one as I will be 35 in July. Pretty insane term to throw on us old ladies, right?!

It was even harder this time around to keep the secret! While I was pregnant with Magnus, I was working from home, the world was still kind of shut down and I truly could get away without leaving the house for weeks. This time around, I had to hide it from coworkers and man, did I start to show quickly this time around! I was out of jeans by ten weeks!

I’m thrilled Magnus will have a sibling, and it’s wild I will have two babies under three years old. If you have any words of encouragement, send them my way!

The Importance of a Good Night’s Sleep!

One of the first things to go when I found out I was pregnant was a good quality night’s sleep. On top of the hormones and anxiety, my old mattress was the icing on the cake for lack of much-needed rest. Honestly, throughout my pregnancy, sleep has been hit or miss, which is frustrating when you aren’t feeling well to begin with.

My New Restonic Mattress from Colder’s Furniture

If there is one thing that can make or break your day, it is a good night’s sleep. That all stems from a good quality mattress. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t picky about my mattress as I mature in age. It wasn’t something I thought about until I experienced a good quality mattress and what a difference it really makes for my sleep schedule. And really when you think of it, we sleep a third of our day, so why not enjoy the rest and recharge with a good quality mattress.

A Reflection about Working from Home

A worldwide pandemic. Something I never thought I would experience during my lifetime. As things escalated, my employer made the decision to have everyone work remotely. I’m going to be honest, working from home the last couple months has been great. I have been able to manage my time so I could care for my new puppy, make more meals at home, and actually dedicate more time to helping the small businesses I represent.

I have always wanted to stay at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. When I think of Lake Geneva, I think of the lavish and prestigious hotel. I mentioned in a previous blog (here), the hotel’s grounds always have the best decorations during the holidays, so I was thrilled for the opportunity to stay. Upon arrival at the resort and spa, you feel cozy and warm. The resort and spa offers 356 guest rooms and is conveniently located for visitors coming from Milwaukee or Chicago. With a private golf course, 20 downhill ski runs, multiple swimming pools, and activities going on daily, you will never be bored at the Grand Geneva!
